Mercodan 371915002 Network Cable Yellow Cat6a S/FTP S-STP

The Mercodan network cable in vibrant yellow is engineered for dependable high-speed data transmission and stable network connections in demanding home and office environments. Featuring advanced Cat6a performance combined with robust S/FTP S-STP shielding, this cable ensures minimal signal interference and reliable performance for your critical networking needs.

Advantages

This network cable provides exceptional signal integrity thanks to its comprehensive S/FTP shielding, which effectively minimizes electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The Cat6a specification supports high-speed data transfer rates, making it a reliable solution for modern bandwidth-intensive applications. Its bright yellow color allows for easy visual identification and cable management within complex network setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers and laptops to routers or switches
• Linking network-attached storage devices and smart TVs
• High-speed local area network deployments in offices and homes
• Structured cabling systems requiring clear color-coded identification

When it may not be suitable

This specific length may be too short for room-to-room installations or routing cables across large office spaces. Additionally, standard PVC or LSZH jacketed patch cords are generally not rated for harsh outdoor environments or direct burial without proper conduit protection.

Key specifications

• Cable type: Network patch cable
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP S-STP
• Color: Yellow
• Length: 0.25 m

How to use

Insert the RJ45 connector at either end of the cable into the appropriate Ethernet ports on your networking devices, such as a computer, router, switch, or modem, until you hear a secure click. Ensure that the cable is not bent beyond its minimum bend radius and that it is routed safely away from potential physical damage or high-voltage power lines.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 0.25-meter length is sufficient for your specific connection layout
• Confirm that your devices and ports support Cat6a network standards
• Check whether shielded S/FTP cabling is necessary for your specific electromagnetic environment

Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the connectors and cable jacket for signs of physical wear. Avoid excessive pulling or sharp bending during installation to maintain optimal signal performance over time.
