Mercodan 371916002 Network Cable Cat6a S/FTP Yellow 0.25m

The Mercodan 371916002 Network Cable Cat6a S/FTP Yellow 0.25m is a high-performance patch cable engineered to deliver reliable high-speed data transmission in local area networks, routers, and switches. Measuring 0.25 meters in length and featuring a vibrant yellow color for easy cable management, this cable is designed to provide secure connectivity and minimize electromagnetic interference for stable office and home network setups.

Advantages

Constructed with advanced S/FTP shielding, this Cat6a network cable effectively reduces signal crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference to ensure consistent data transfer rates. The compact 0.25-meter length helps eliminate cable clutter in dense patching environments such as server racks, patch panels, and switch stacks. Its robust build quality ensures long-term operational durability and dependable physical connections across various networking hardware.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches to patch panels in rack enclosures
• Linking nearby routers, modems, and desktop computers
• Short-distance Ethernet connections in home offices and data centers
• Organized cable management setups requiring color-coded patching

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not suitable for long-distance network runs due to its fixed length of 0.25 meters. It may also not fit applications that require unshielded cabling or specific non-standard connector configurations.

Key specifications

• Cable standard: Cat6a
• Shielding type: S/FTP
• Length: 0.25 meters
• Color: Yellow
• Application: Local area networks and network hardware connectivity

How to use

Ensure that the network devices you wish to connect are powered off or accessible for patching. Take the RJ45 connector on either end of the Mercodan network cable and gently push it into the Ethernet port of your router, switch, computer, or patch panel until you hear a distinct clicking sound, which indicates that the locking tab has engaged securely. To disconnect, press down on the plastic locking tab of the connector and pull straight out to avoid damaging the internal pins or the port.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 0.25-meter length is sufficient for the distance between your target networking devices
• Confirm that your equipment supports Cat6a performance standards
• Check whether S/FTP shielding is required for your specific installation environment

For optimal network performance, avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling tension during installation, and ensure the cable connectors remain free from dust and moisture.
