Mercodan 371918100 Network Cable Black 10 m Cat6a S/FTP S-STP

The Mercodan 371918100 Network Cable Black 10 m Cat6a S/FTP S-STP is a high-performance patch cable designed to deliver stable and fast Ethernet connectivity for various networking environments. Measuring 10 meters in length, this black network cable provides sufficient reach for connecting computers, routers, and network switches across a room or office space. Utilizing advanced Cat6a S/FTP S-STP shielding, it minimizes electromagnetic interference and crosstalk to ensure reliable data transmission.

Advantages

This network cable offers superior signal integrity and high-speed data transmission capabilities thanks to its Cat6a classification and dual-shielded S/FTP construction. The robust shielding protects data signals from external electrical noise, making it an excellent choice for environments with heavy cable density or numerous electronic devices. With a generous 10-meter length, it bridges distances easily without requiring intermediate couplers or extension units. The durable black exterior allows for discreet cable management while maintaining a professional appearance in both residential and commercial setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers and laptops to network routers or switches
• Linking network-attached storage (NAS) devices to local network infrastructure
• Setting up reliable wired internet connections in home offices and corporate workspaces
• Extending local area network (LAN) setups over medium distances

When it may not be suitable

This cable may not be ideal for ultra-short connections where excess slack can create clutter, as the 10-meter length requires proper management. Additionally, it is not designed for heavy outdoor exposure or direct burial applications unless properly protected within conduits.

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat6a S/FTP S-STP network patch cable
• Length: 10 meters
• Color: Black
• Shielding: S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair)
• Application: Ethernet networking for computers, switches, and routers

How to use

To use the cable, simply plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of your computer, printer, or network device, and connect the other end to an active port on your router, switch, or wall outlet. Ensure that the connectors click securely into place to maintain a stable connection. Route the 10-meter cable along baseboards or behind furniture using appropriate cable clips to prevent tripping hazards and physical damage.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that a 10-meter length is appropriate for your specific distance requirements
• Check that your networking equipment supports Cat6a standards for optimal performance
• Ensure that the black color fits your aesthetic and cable management preferences

For the best performance, avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling pressure during installation, and keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines to minimize potential signal interference.
