Mercodan 371926002 Network Cable Green 0.25m Cat6a U/UTP

The Mercodan network cable is a reliable 0.25-meter green patch cable designed for efficient data transmission in various networking environments. Built to Cat6a performance standards, this unshielded U/UTP twisted pair cable provides stable wired internet connectivity for local area networks, office devices, and home setups. Its compact length makes it an ideal solution for connecting equipment in close proximity, helping to minimize cable clutter.

Advantages

This network cable delivers dependable Cat6a performance, ensuring fast and stable data transfer rates suitable for modern networking demands. The unshielded U/UTP construction offers flexibility and ease of routing in tight spaces, while the short 0.25-meter length prevents excess slack behind desks, racks, or patch panels. The distinctive green color allows for quick visual identification and cable management within complex network installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches and routers in server racks
• Linking desktop computers to wall outlets or nearby switches
• Patching connections in small office or home network setups
• Organizing short-run connections to reduce cable clutter

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not suitable for long-distance network connections due to its fixed 0.25-meter length. Additionally, because it features an unshielded U/UTP construction, it may not provide adequate protection against electromagnetic interference in heavy industrial environments or areas with high electrical noise.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.25 meters
• Color: Green
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Product type: Network patch cable

How to use

To use the network cable, simply plug one RJ45 connector into a network port on your computer, router, switch, or other compatible device, and insert the remaining connector into the corresponding port on the target device or wall outlet. Ensure the connectors are firmly inserted until you hear a click, which indicates that the retaining clip has engaged securely. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors to maintain optimal signal integrity and longevity.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 0.25-meter length is sufficient for your specific connection distance
• Check whether your network setup requires shielded or unshielded cabling
• Ensure compatibility with your existing networking hardware and ports

For best results, route the cable away from power lines and heavy electrical equipment to prevent potential signal interference, and avoid placing excessive tension on the connectors during installation.
