Mercodan 371926005 Network Cable Green 0.5 m Cat6a U/UTP

The Mercodan 371926005 network cable is a high-quality green Ethernet cable designed for efficient and reliable local area network connections. Measuring 0.5 meters in length, this Cat6a U/UTP unshielded twisted pair cable provides stable data transmission for various networking environments, making it a practical choice for connecting devices over short distances in homes and offices.

Advantages

This network cable delivers enhanced Cat6a performance, which supports high-speed data transfer rates essential for modern networking demands. The unshielded twisted pair design ensures flexibility and straightforward installation, allowing the cable to be easily routed through tight spaces, behind furniture, or within patch panels. The distinct green color helps with cable management and identification in complex setups, while the precise 0.5-meter length reduces excess slack and maintains a tidy workspace.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop computer or laptop to a network wall outlet
• Linking a patch panel to a network switch in a rack setup
• Connecting local network peripherals such as printers and network-attached storage units
• Short-distance Ethernet connections in home offices or server rooms

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not intended for long-distance runs due to its fixed 0.5-meter length, and it cannot bridge rooms or connect devices placed far apart. Additionally, the U/UTP unshielded design lacks external electromagnetic shielding, making it unsuitable for industrial environments with heavy electrical interference.

Key specifications

• Cable type: Network cable
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Length: 0.5 meters
• Color: Green

How to use

To use the Mercodan network cable, insert one RJ45 connector into the Ethernet port of your networking device, such as a switch, router, or computer, until you hear a secure click. Insert the opposite end into the corresponding port of the target device or wall outlet. Ensure the cable is not excessively bent or pinched during routing to maintain optimal signal integrity.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 0.5-meter length is sufficient for the distance between your target devices
• Check that your hardware utilizes standard RJ45 Ethernet ports
• Determine whether an unshielded U/UTP cable meets your environmental interference requirements

Usage recommendations: Keep the cable away from heavy foot traffic areas and sharp edges to prevent physical damage. Avoid pulling the cable by the cord when disconnecting; always release the locking tab on the connector plug.
