Mercodan 371927002 Network Cable Cat6a U/UTP 0.25 m Blue

The Mercodan 371927002 Network Cable Cat6a U/UTP 0.25 m Blue is a reliable patch cable designed for high-speed local network connections and efficient data transmission. Measuring 0.25 meters in length, this compact blue cable is particularly suited for tidy setups where short-distance connections are needed between network devices such as computers, switches, and routers in both home and office environments.

Advantages

This network cable utilizes the Cat6a specification, which supports high data transmission rates suitable for modern networking demands. Its U/UTP design provides a straightforward unshielded twisted pair structure that maintains signal integrity over short distances. The bright blue color helps with cable management and identification within complex routing setups or patch panels, while the short 0.25-meter length prevents clutter behind desks and inside server racks.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop computer or laptop to a nearby network switch or router
• Patching connections inside network cabinets and server racks over short distances
• Linking network peripherals in home offices and professional workspaces

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not designed for long-distance runs or connections that require physical separation across different rooms due to its fixed 0.25-meter length. Additionally, because it features an unshielded U/UTP construction, it may not be appropriate for environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is strictly required.

Key specifications

• Cable type: Network patch cable
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding type: U/UTP
• Length: 0.25 m
• Color: Blue

How to use

To use the network cable, connect one RJ45 connector into the network port of your device, such as a computer or printer, and plug the opposite end into an available port on your router, switch, or wall outlet. Ensure both connectors are inserted firmly until you hear a click, which indicates that the locking tab has engaged securely. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors to maintain optimal performance and durability.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that a 0.25-meter length is sufficient for your specific routing distance between devices
• Check that your network equipment utilizes standard RJ45 ports compatible with Cat6a cables
• Determine whether your installation environment requires unshielded U/UTP cables or shielded alternatives

Usage recommendations: Route the cable carefully without applying excessive tension or sharp bends to preserve the internal conductors and ensure stable, high-speed data transmission over time.
