The Mercusys AV1000 Gigabit Powerline WiFi Kit (MP510 KIT) uses your home's existing electrical wiring to extend network coverage up to 300 meters on the same circuit. The kit supports HomePlug AV2 technology and offers a maximum powerline transmission rate of 1000 Mbps together with a gigabit Ethernet port for wired connections. It is compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g/n and IEEE 802.3 standards and works with common Windows systems.

Advantages

By transmitting data over the electrical circuit, this Powerline WiFi kit reduces the impact of walls and obstacles on wireless signal quality. Factory pre-configuration enables plug-and-play setup without additional wiring or complex configuration. The device supports WiFi cloning via the WPS and WiFi Clone buttons to create a single SSID across your home, and additional powerline adapters can be added to expand coverage as needed.

How to use

Connect one Powerline adapter (MP500 or the base unit) to your router using an Ethernet cable and plug it into a nearby wall outlet. Plug the MP510 extender into an outlet where you need network access. The devices are pre-configured, so they will establish a secure Powerline connection automatically. To unify the WiFi name and password, press the WPS button on your router and then the WiFi Clone button on the MP510; the extender will copy the router's SSID and password.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, plug adapters directly into wall outlets rather than power strips or surge protectors, and ensure both adapters are on the same electrical circuit. Add extra adapters to cover additional rooms if a two-unit kit is insufficient.
