Water pump Metabo TP 75 SF — Metabo submersible pump for clean water, model 601790000

The Metabo TP 75 SF is a submersible pump for clean water designed for water transfer, draining and garden irrigation. Its compact, portable housing and straightforward setup make it suitable for moving between basements, wells and rainwater tanks. The pump is intended for domestic and light professional use where reliable, continuous pumping of clear water is required.

Advantages

The pump combines a compact footprint with robust construction to provide steady performance when transferring or removing clear water. Its design allows quick immersion and retrieval, and the unit operates with efficient motor characteristics that are suitable for frequent short-term tasks. The simple installation and stable flow make it practical for routine maintenance and seasonal irrigation needs.

Suitable for

• Draining flooded cellars, basements and low areas
• Transferring water between containers, tanks and ponds
• Garden irrigation using collected rainwater
• Temporary water removal during light construction or maintenance

When it may not be suitable

This pump is designed for clean water and is not intended for liquids containing solids, grit or heavy debris. It is not suitable for pumping sewage, slurry or highly abrasive fluids. For continuous heavy industrial use or large-scale dewatering tasks, a higher-capacity or industrial-grade pump should be considered.

Key specifications

• Application: submersible pumping of clean water
• Typical uses: transfer, drainage, garden irrigation
• Design: compact, portable submersible unit
• Installation type: immersion in water bodies such as basements, wells or tanks
• Intended user: domestic and light professional use

How to use

Position the pump on a stable, level surface within the water to be pumped, ensuring the intake is clear of large objects. Connect the discharge hose or pipe securely to the outlet and route it to the desired drainage point. Make sure the electrical connection complies with local safety regulations and use a residual current device (RCD) where required. Start the pump and monitor the flow; stop the pump if unusual noise, vibration or a drop in performance occurs. After use, clean external surfaces and store the unit in a dry place.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm the pump is rated for clean water and avoid use with solids or abrasive fluids
• Check that the pump capacity and head meet the distance and elevation requirements for your application
• Ensure electrical supply and protection (RCD/grounding) are compatible with local regulations
• Consider hose and connector sizes to match the pump outlet for efficient flow

Usage recommendations

Use the pump for intermittent drainage and garden irrigation tasks within its capacity limits; perform routine visual checks and keep the intake area free of debris to maintain reliable operation.
