Socket-outlet RJ-45 MetzConnect 130B12-E, Cat6a, metallic, 14.7×36×30.1 mm
MetzConnect 130B12-E is a metallic RJ-45 socket-outlet designed for Cat6a installations where high-performance Ethernet connectivity and a durable metal housing are required. The compact module (14.7 × 36 × 30.1 mm) provides a 270° cable entry and a reusable zinc die-cast housing that supports structured cabling in patch panels, wall plates and modular network installations. The unit is intended for termination of solid and stranded conductors with insulation displacement connectors (IDC) and carries component-level certification for Cat6A performance.
The one-piece, reusable metal housing offers mechanical robustness and a refined finish while enabling tool-free mounting and direct snap-on strain relief to the stuffer cap. Intelligent cable management in the stuffer cap simplifies termination of heavily twisted Cat6a cables. The unit supports both T568A and T568B conductor assignments, which are printed on the stuffer cap for straightforward identification. Component tests and GHMT certification confirm compliance with Cat6A electrical parameters, with extended frequency testing supporting high-bandwidth applications.
Prepare the Cat6a cable by stripping the outer sheath to the recommended length and untwisting only the minimum required for termination. Follow the printed conductor assignment on the stuffer cap to position conductor pairs according to T568A or T568B. Insert conductors into the IDC contacts and snap the strain relief stuffer cap into place; the design allows mounting without special tools. After termination, install the module into the compatible patch panel or wall plate and verify the connection using appropriate network certification or testing equipment to confirm continuity and performance.
For reliable Cat6a performance, use cable types that match the AWG ranges specified and avoid excessive untwisting of pairs. Verify terminations with a certified testing device when deploying 10 GBit Ethernet links or PoE applications. When installing in environments subject to mechanical stress, prefer the metallic housing option to increase connector durability.
