Patch panel MetzConnect 15024A10S-E, rack-mount 3U, grey
MetzConnect 15024A10S-E is a rack-mount patch panel with a 3U height designed for installation in standard 19" racks. Finished in grey, the unit provides structured cable termination and organisation for network and telecom environments. It is intended for professional rack installations in server rooms, comms cabinets and data centres where orderly cable management and secure fibre handling are required.
The housing is made in a compact form with dimensions of 50 mm width, 128 mm height and 132.5 mm depth measured from the rail (without adapters), enabling installation in constrained rack spaces. The product offers flexible cable entry from the top or bottom, straight or inclined, and supports one or two M20 cable glands for secure cable feed. A fibre reservoir and optional splice tray with crimp splice holder for up to 12 splices are provided to protect and organise optical fibres. The unit includes a very sturdy top hat rail holder for reliable fastening to TH35 rails and a single-screw cover fastening for quick access. Custom-labeled identification strips simplify port identification and documentation.
Mount the MetzConnect 15024A10S-E onto a TH35 rail within a 19" cabinet at the required 3U position using the supplied top hat rail holder. Choose cable entry direction (top or bottom, straight or inclined) and fit the M20 cable gland(s) as needed; one M20 gland with strain relief is included. If splicing is required, install the optional splice tray and place splices into the crimp splice holder (up to 12), or fit shrink splice holders where applicable. Route fibres into the integrated reservoir to maintain bend radius and secure the housing cover with the single screw once connections and routing are complete. Use the custom-labeled identification strips to mark and document individual terminations.
For reliable long-term operation, maintain recommended fibre bend radii within the reservoir, secure cables with the provided strain relief, and verify that cable glands are tightened to prevent movement. When installing multiple splice holders or pre-terminated cable feeds, plan internal routing to avoid stress on connectors and splices and keep documentation updated using the identification strips.
