Networking Cable Microconnect B-UTP515W RJ-45 Cat5e 15m White
The Microconnect B-UTP515W is a 15 m Cat5e networking cable with RJ-45 connectors designed for reliable wired connections between network devices such as switches, modems, routers or to structured cabling via patch panels, keystone jacks or wall outlets. The cable is U/UTP (B-UTP) constructed, tested to the Cat5e frequency of up to 100 MHz and is backwards compatible with Cat5, offering up to 1000 Mbit/s data transfer in typical Ethernet installations. The white jacket provides a discreet appearance for home and office environments.
The cable features standard Cat5e performance with testing up to 100 MHz and backward compatibility with Cat5 systems. It uses U/UTP shielding to reduce external interference and maintain stable signal transmission. Molded RJ-45 connectors include latch protection to prevent connector damage when routing the cable through tight installation spaces. At 15 metres length it is suitable for many desktop and room-to-room connections while keeping weight and bulk low.
Connect one RJ-45 connector to a network device (for example a router, switch or modem) and the other RJ-45 connector to the target device or a wall outlet/patch panel. Ensure connectors click into place with the latch protection engaged. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable ties without compressing the jacket.
For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines or large electrical equipment. Use this Cat5e cable for standard 100BASE-TX and gigabit-capable setups where distance and environment meet Cat5e specifications; consider Cat6 if higher bandwidth or future-proofing is required.
