The MicroConnect POEINJ-15W-UK is a compact single-port Gigabit PoE injector that supplies 48 V DC and up to 15.4 W of power over Ethernet while supporting data transmission at speeds up to 1000 Mbps over distances up to 100 m. The unit has two RJ45 ports: one for data input from a network switch and one for combined data-and-power output to a remote powered device. How to use

Connect the data input RJ45 port of the POEINJ-15W-UK to a network switch or router using an Ethernet cable. Plug the network device that requires power into the data+power RJ45 output port of the injector. Connect the injector to mains power (100–240 V AC). The injector will combine the switch data and 48 V DC power on the output cable, supplying the remote IEEE 802.3af-compliant device. Ensure cable runs do not exceed 100 m for reliable power and data delivery.

Usage recommendations

Use shielded or good-quality Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable for runs near electrical interference, verify the powered device is IEEE 802.3af compatible, and install the injector near the network switch in a ventilated, dry location. Do not exceed the specified 100 m cable length and ensure the powered device’s power draw does not exceed 15.4 W.
