The 0.5 m cable is manufactured to Cat7 performance and tested up to 600 MHz while using Cat6a-compatible RJ-45 connectors; it remains backwards compatible with Cat6a, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 standards. The orange colour and compact length make it suitable for short links in home and small office networks and entertainment setups.
