Networking Cable Microconnect SSTP625S RJ-45 Cat6 25 m Black
The Microconnect SSTP625S RJ-45 Cat6 25 m Black is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable wired connections between network devices such as switches, modems, routers, patch panels and wall outlets. This Cat6 cable supports data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s, is tested to the Cat6 standard frequency of 250 MHz and is backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 installations. The cable includes latch protection to reduce risk of connector damage during tight installations and features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference.
S/FTP shielding protects against EMI and crosstalk, helping to maintain signal integrity and reduce transmission errors. The 25 m length provides extended reach for home and small office networks or AV setups. RJ-45 connectors ensure straightforward plug-and-play installation, and backward compatibility with Cat5e/Cat5 allows reuse in existing infrastructure. Latch protection on the connectors reduces the chance of clip breakage during installation in confined spaces.
Route the cable between the two network points, avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong EMI where possible. Plug RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports on devices or patch panels until the latch clicks. If installing through conduits or tight spaces, use the latch protection to minimise the chance of connector damage. After connection, verify link lights on devices and run network tests to confirm speed and stability.
For best performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and maintain minimum bend radius as specified by standard Cat6 installation practices. Use shielded connectors and properly grounded panels when integrating S/FTP cable into a larger shielded infrastructure.
