PoE adapter Microconnect POEINJ-30W-IND
POEINJ-30W-IND is a single-port industrial PoE injector that supplies up to 55 V DC at 0.55 A over two pairs, providing a maximum of 30 W for powered devices. It supports data rates of 10/100/1000 Mbps and includes 6 kV (10/700 µs) surge protection on the PoE output. The injector is intended for indoor mounting and includes a standard DIN-rail bracket for easy installation. It accepts a wide input voltage range (12–48 V DC) and operates in temperatures from -40 °C to 65 °C, with an effective Ethernet reach of up to 100 m over Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
The adapter provides IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) level power while remaining backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af devices. Built-in PD detection and classification prevent powering non‑compliant equipment. The unit’s compact size and DIN‑rail mounting make it suitable for industrial racks and control cabinets, and the integrated surge protection increases resilience in installations exposed to transient overvoltages.
This injector is designed for indoor, DIN‑rail installations and may not be suitable for outdoor deployments or locations without available DC input in the 12–48 V range. Devices requiring more than 30 W of power or installations that need distances beyond 100 m without additional extenders will require a different solution.
Mount the Microconnect POEINJ-30W-IND on a compatible DIN rail and connect a DC power source within the 12–48 V range to the input. Connect the network switch or injector data source to the data input port and the powered device to the PoE output port using Cat5e or Cat6 cable. The injector will detect and classify the connected PD and only supply power to standard‑compliant devices. Ensure cable runs do not exceed 100 m for reliable operation.
For stable operation, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling, secure the injector on a DIN rail inside an indoor enclosure, and pair with devices compliant with IEEE 802.3at/af. Regularly inspect connections and verify the DC input voltage is within the specified range.
