Freestanding rack cabinet Middle Atlantic BRK12-22 12U, black, 90.7 kg load capacity
Middle Atlantic BRK12-22 is a 12U freestanding rack cabinet designed to house standard 19" equipment in a compact footprint. Finished in black and built for standalone placement, this rack provides a stable enclosure for network switches, AV components, small servers and related accessories while supporting a maximum static load of 90.7 kg.
The cabinet combines a compact 12U height with a freestanding design that simplifies installation where wall- or large-rack mounting is not practical. Its black finish offers a neutral appearance for professional environments, and the unit’s structural design ensures stable support for IT and AV hardware up to its specified load capacity. The rack accepts standard 19" mounting hardware and is intended for straightforward integration into small server rooms, control rooms and AV closets.
This 12U freestanding cabinet is not intended for large-scale data center deployments or environments requiring very high equipment density. The specified maximum load capacity of 90.7 kg limits the amount and weight of heavy servers, UPS units or equipment with dense power supplies. For installations that require seismic certification, extensive cable management accessories or integrated cooling, alternative rack solutions should be considered.
Place the freestanding cabinet on a level, stable surface and verify floor load limits before installation. Install 19" equipment using the cabinet’s standard mounting rails and appropriate screws or cage nuts for each device. Distribute equipment weight evenly and mount heavier items toward the lower U positions to maintain stability. Ensure adequate airflow around heat-generating components and leave access space at the rear and front for cabling and maintenance.
For stable operation, mount heavier components low in the cabinet, use proper mounting hardware for 19" equipment, and allow for front and rear access for cabling and cooling. If you expect to add significant weight or require advanced cooling or seismic features, evaluate larger or specialized rack cabinets.
