Sustain Pedal Miditech MP-1 — single-switch piano-style foot controller
Miditech MP-1 is a single-switch, piano-style sustain (damper) pedal engineered for use with keyboards and digital pianos. The compact, weighted design reproduces the feel of an acoustic piano pedal and connects to instruments via a standard 1/4" (6.35 mm) jack. It delivers continuous sustain control suitable for practice, stage performance and studio work with compatible digital keyboards, portable arrangers and stage pianos.
The MP-1 offers a simple, robust construction with a non-slip base and a metal housing that resists wear in regular use. Its piano-style foot action provides a familiar tactile response for pianists, while the universal 1/4" jack ensures broad compatibility with most keyboard and digital piano models. The unit requires no additional power or drivers, enabling plug-and-play operation for quick setup.
Connect the enclosed 1/4" plug to the sustain pedal input on your keyboard or digital piano. Place the pedal on a stable, non-slip surface in front of the instrument and position it so your foot reaches the pedal comfortably while seated. Press and hold the pedal to sustain notes or chords; release to stop sustain. No software configuration or external power is required for basic sustain functionality on compatible instruments.
Use a stable floor surface and ensure the pedal’s non-slip base is clean to maintain traction. If your keyboard supports polarity reversal for sustain pedals, consult the instrument’s settings or manual to match the pedal’s behavior to the expected damper action. For transport, protect the metal housing from impacts to avoid alignment changes in the switch mechanism.
