How to use

Install the GESP surge protector at the mast near the antennas and mount the GESP+POE-IN injector below the mast or in a weather-protected location near the powered equipment. Connect the network cable from your switch to the injector’s data input and run a shielded Ethernet cable from the injector to the antenna or PoE device. Ensure all grounding wires are securely attached to a proper ground point, such as the mast, rackmount, or building grounding system. After a surge event, inspect both GESP units for visible damage and replace them if their protective capability appears compromised.

Usage recommendations

For maximum protection, use a surge protector on both ends of long Ethernet cables and secure GESP units with PVC zip ties without over-tightening. Regularly verify grounding connections and inspect the devices after any strong electrical event to ensure continued protection.
