How to use

Mount the PowerBox Pro on a pole, tower or other outdoor structure using appropriate brackets and grounding practices. Connect the uplink via one of the Gigabit Ethernet ports or the SFP slot, and provide PoE input using a compatible power source (passive or 802.3at/af within supported voltages). Configure RouterOS through the web or Winbox interface to set IP addressing, firewall rules and VLANs as required. Downstream PoE devices can be connected to Ethernet ports 2–5 to receive power at the same voltage applied to the unit, reducing the need for separate power adapters.

Usage recommendations

For reliable outdoor operation, ensure proper grounding and use weatherproof cable glands for Ethernet runs. When powering multiple PoE devices from the router, verify cumulative power draw against the available input power and prefer 48–57 V input when connecting 802.3at/af devices to guarantee Mode B compatibility. Use the SFP port for fiber backbone connections where longer distances or higher resilience are required.
