Managed Switch MikroTik RB260GSP
The MikroTik RB260GSP is a compact managed Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for SOHO and small to medium-sized networks. It provides five RJ-45 Gigabit ports and one SFP cage, and runs MikroTik's SwOS for straightforward switch management. The unit includes a DC-IN jack and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) on ports 2–5, delivering the same voltage to connected PoE devices as applied to the switch.
The RB260GSP combines managed switching features with a small footprint and simple web-based SwOS management. With five Gigabit RJ-45 ports and an SFP slot it supports flexible wired connections, while PoE on ports 2–5 allows powering of access points, VoIP phones or cameras directly from the switch. The device is lightweight and designed for easy integration into SOHO setups.
Connect the RB260GSP to your network using the RJ-45 ports or insert a compatible SFP module into the SFP cage for fiber connectivity. Supply power to the device through the DC-IN jack; ports 2–5 will provide PoE output at the same voltage present on the DC input, allowing you to power compatible devices directly from the switch. Configure VLANs, port settings and PoE behavior using the SwOS web interface accessible from a connected computer.
For reliable PoE delivery, verify connected devices support the voltage used by the RB260GSP’s DC input and ensure total PoE power draw does not exceed the switch’s available power budget. Place the switch in a ventilated area and use the SwOS interface to monitor port status and manage traffic.
