SFP+ transceiver module MikroTik S+C55DLC10D 10000 Mbit/s 1550 nm
SFP+ transceiver module MikroTik S+C55DLC10D 10000 Mbit/s 1550 nm
The MikroTik S+C55DLC10D SFP+ transceiver module provides single-mode fiber connectivity for 10 Gbit/s links over distances up to 10 km at a wavelength of 1550 nm. Designed for use in compatible SFP+ slots, this compact module uses a dual LC connector and supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) to report real-time optical parameters. The module’s nickel-coloured housing offers robust physical protection and straightforward hot-pluggable integration into network switches, routers and fiber optic equipment.
The transceiver delivers stable 10 Gbit/s throughput on single-mode fiber and is engineered for long-reach links up to 10 km. Built-in DDM enables monitoring of transmit and receive power, temperature and laser bias current for proactive maintenance. Its SFP+ form factor and dual LC connector allow flexible deployment in a wide range of networking devices that accept SFP+ modules. The nickel-coloured metal housing provides mechanical durability and helps dissipate heat during continuous operation.
Insert the SFP+ transceiver into a compatible SFP+ port until it clicks into place, then secure any module latch if present. Connect single-mode fiber cables with dual LC connectors, ensuring correct transmit/receive alignment and clean fiber endfaces to minimise signal loss. After physical installation, verify link status through the host device’s management interface and monitor DDM parameters to confirm optical performance. The module supports hot-plugging, but follow your equipment vendor’s guidelines for safe insertion and removal to avoid port damage.
Use certified single-mode fiber and routinely clean connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before mating. Monitor DDM values after installation to detect signal degradation early, and keep the transceiver within the equipment’s specified operating temperature range to ensure long-term reliability.
