Milan self-hardening modeling clay 400 g white
Milan self-hardening modeling clay 400 g white is an air-drying polymer clay designed for sculpting, modelling and a wide range of craft projects. The clay has a smooth, pliable texture that allows for fine detail work and maintains shape while drying at room temperature, eliminating the need for oven curing. After full hardening it can be sanded, drilled and painted to achieve the desired finish for decorative items, prototypes and school projects.
This modelling clay offers easy-to-work consistency that supports both large shapes and fine details. It hardens at ambient temperature, providing a convenient workflow without special equipment. The surface becomes firm and receptive to sanding and common paints once cured, enabling finishing and surface treatment. The neutral white colour is suitable as a base for painting or for projects that require a light, uniform tone.
Knead the clay briefly to soften and homogenize before shaping. Model the desired form using hands and basic sculpting tools. Leave the finished piece to dry at room temperature on a flat, ventilated surface; drying time depends on wall thickness and ambient conditions. Once fully hardened, refine the surface with sandpaper, drill holes if needed and apply suitable primer and paint for the intended finish.
Store the unused clay in an airtight container or resealable bag to prevent premature drying. For thicker pieces, allow extended drying time and consider hollowing large volumes to reduce cracking. Use water sparingly to smooth seams; excessive moisture can soften the outer surface and prolong hardening.
