RJ45 pass-through plug UTP Cat.6 Montis MT177 – MONTIS MT177
RJ45 pass-through plug UTP Cat.6 Montis MT177 – MONTIS MT177
The MONTIS RJ45 pass-through plug UTP Cat.6 MT177 is a pass-through connector designed for terminating UTP Cat6 network cables. The transparent housing allows wires to pass through the connector so conductor alignment and correct pair order are visible before crimping. The plug supports Cat6 signal requirements and is intended for creating reliable Ethernet patch cables for home, office and data center use.
The pass-through design simplifies termination by making conductor positions visible and reducing the need for rework. A clear housing speeds up inspection and testing after termination. The connector is engineered to meet Cat6 performance levels for applications that require higher bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with lower category plugs. Its compact shape is compatible with standard modular crimp tools and typical patch cable assemblies.
Strip the outer jacket of the UTP Cat6 cable to the recommended length, untwist pairs and align conductors in the correct wiring order. Insert the wires straight through the pass-through plug until the jacket reaches the plug body and conductors are visible at the front. Use a standard crimping tool designed for pass-through RJ45 plugs to crimp the connector, ensuring secure contact between conductors and contacts. After crimping, trim any protruding conductor ends if required and perform a cable tester check to verify continuity and pair integrity.
For reliable Cat6 performance, maintain correct pair twisting up to the termination point and avoid excessive untwisting. Use a quality crimping tool compatible with pass-through RJ45 plugs and perform a continuity and cable certification test when required by the installation scope.
