Pruning shears NEO tools 15-250 — bypass secateurs, weight 1.28 kg, single piece
NEO tools 15-250 pruning shears are long-handled bypass secateurs designed for cutting live branches and trimming shrubs in gardens and landscaped areas. With a total length of 710 mm and a lightweight aluminium arm construction, these two-handed shears provide extended reach and controlled pruning. The tool features an anvil-style cutting system with a non-stick coated cutting blade and a hardened counter blade suitable for hard and dry wood. A roller transmission in the lever mechanism increases pressing force by up to 30%, enabling cuts on branches up to 45 mm in diameter while keeping user effort lower. Non-slip two-material handles increase grip security and handling comfort during seasonal and routine maintenance.
The anvil cutting system stabilises the branch against a hardened anvil, reducing slipping and improving cut stability on thicker or drier wood. Roller transmission multiplies applied force to decrease physical effort for each cut. Non-stick (PTFE) coated blades limit residue build-up and keep the tool cleaner between cuts. Aluminium arms reduce overall weight without sacrificing strength, and two-material anti-slip handles provide safer handling during two-handed use.
Hold the shears with both hands on the non-slip handles, positioning the cutting blade on the side of the branch to be removed and the anvil against the opposite side for stable contact. Apply steady pressure so the roller transmission engages and multiplies your force, completing the cut through the branch. For best results on thicker or dry wood, use a single decisive cut rather than sawing motions. After cutting, allow residue to drop away from the blade; wipe the non-stick coated surfaces if sticky sap accumulates. Store the tool in a dry place to preserve blade hardness and the aluminium arms.
Inspect blades before use and sharpen or replace them if cutting becomes difficult. Wear protective gloves and eye protection when cutting branches. Clean blades after use and apply light oil to protect the cutting surfaces and pivot points. Do not use these shears on live branches thicker than 45 mm or on metal, wire or other non-wood materials.
