Pruning shears NEO tools 15-252, hand pruner, weight 1.22 kg, single piece
NEO tools 15-252 is a two-handed anvil-style pruning shear designed for cutting branches and stems in gardening and landscaping. With an overall length of 765 mm and a maximum cutting diameter of up to 40 mm, this hand pruner combines a roller transmission and an anvil cutting system to reduce the effort required for seasonal pruning and general maintenance of shrubs, fruit trees and ornamental plants. The tool is supplied as a single unit and weighs approximately 1.22 kg.
The anvil cutting system pairs an upper cutting blade with a solid anvil that holds the branch during cutting, enabling clean cuts on hard or dry wood. A roller transmission in the lever assembly increases pressing force by up to 60%, so fewer hand or arm movements are needed to cut thicker material. Blades feature a non-stick PTFE coating to repel sap and debris, keeping the cutting edge cleaner during use. Aluminium arms and two-material non-slip handles reduce overall weight while improving grip and control for safer operation.
Position the branch against the anvil and align the cutting blade at the desired cutting point. Use both hands on the long arms to apply steady pressure; the roller transmission will amplify the force to close the blade cleanly around the stem or branch. For best results on thicker or drier wood, make smooth, controlled cuts rather than quick, jerking motions. After cutting, allow sap and debris to fall away from the coated blade surface to maintain blade performance.
Inspect blades before use and remove any large dirt or sap deposits after each session. For prolonged sharpness and reduced corrosion, wipe blades clean and apply a light protective oil after cleaning. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection, when pruning thicker branches. Store the tool in a dry place away from direct moisture.
