Keystone Jack RJ45 NETRACK Category 5e UTP Tool-less, White
NETRACK Keystone Jack RJ45 Category 5e UTP Tool-less in white is a tool-free modular insert for terminating unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) Ethernet cables. The jack is designed for fast snap-in installation into patch panels, wall plates and keystone adapters, providing Category 5e performance for 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T networks. Its compact white housing allows discreet integration into residential and office structured cabling environments while maintaining reliable electrical contacts for copper LAN links.
The tool-less design eliminates the need for a punch-down tool, reducing installation time and simplifying field termination. Color-coded wiring guides on the jack support both T568A and T568B standards for easy pair alignment. The RJ45 contact set delivers stable connectivity and minimizes signal loss within Cat5e performance limits. The standardized keystone form factor ensures compatibility with most keystone panels, faceplates and surface-mount boxes.
Prepare the UTP cable by stripping the outer jacket to expose the twisted pairs, then untwist pairs to the recommended length. Follow the color-coded wiring guide on the keystone jack and insert each conductor into the corresponding slot according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Firmly press the conductors into the tool-less termination slots until they are seated and the jack’s internal contacts pierce the insulation. Snap the keystone jack into the faceplate, patch panel or surface-mount box until it locks in place. Test the finished connection with a cable tester to verify continuity and correct pair mapping.
Use this keystone jack for horizontal runs up to the limits defined for Cat5e cabling and avoid using it with shielded cable types. For best performance, keep untwisted pair lengths minimal at the termination point and ensure solid cable management to reduce strain and crosstalk. Verify wiring standard consistency across the installation to prevent polarity or performance issues.
