Rechargeable battery Newell BLS-50 USB-C 7.4V 1220mAh
Rechargeable battery Newell BLS-50 USB-C 7.4V 1220mAh
Newell rechargeable BLS-50 USB-C battery, nominal voltage 7.4 V and capacity 1220 mAh, designed as a replacement for Olympus BLS-50 batteries. The battery supports charging via an integrated USB-C port while remaining compatible with traditional external chargers. It includes an LED indicator to show charging status and is covered by a 40-month warranty.
The Newell BLS-50 USB-C provides flexible charging options thanks to its built-in USB-C port and compatibility with conventional chargers, allowing recharging from a power bank or common USB-C cables. A red/green LED indicates charging progress. Lithium-ion construction prevents the memory effect and allows multiple charge/discharge cycles. Built-in electronic protection regulates charging to guard against overheating, overcharging and overloading. The replacement is shaped and sized to match original Olympus BLS-50 units and uses quality cells to deliver the specified capacity.
Insert the Newell BLS-50 USB-C battery into the camera battery compartment in the same way as the original Olympus BLS-50. To charge the battery without a separate charger, connect a USB-C cable to the battery’s USB-C port and to a suitable USB power source (power bank, USB wall adapter, laptop). While charging, the LED will glow red and will switch to green once charging is complete. The battery can also be removed and charged in a conventional external charger that accepts the BLS-50 form factor.
Use a compatible USB-C power source that supplies the appropriate charging current; avoid using damaged cables. Store the battery in a cool, dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures. If the camera will not be used for a long period, partially charge the battery and check it periodically. Follow the camera manufacturer’s instructions for battery handling and disposal.
