LevelOne 1.25Gbps Single-mode Industrial SFP Transceiver, 10km, 1310nm, -40°C to 85°C
LevelOne 1.25Gbps Single-mode Industrial SFP Transceiver, 10km, 1310nm, -40°C to 85°C is a compact, hot-swappable fiber optic transceiver designed for single-mode Gigabit Ethernet links. It supports a bidirectional data transfer rate up to 1.25 Gbps over a single duplex fiber core, uses a 1310 nm wavelength with an FP laser diode, and connects via an LC port. The module is intended for use with 9/125 μm single-mode fiber and can reach distances up to 10 km while operating across wide industrial temperature ranges.
This SFP transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3z and the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA), providing predictable interoperability with compatible network equipment. The compact silver module is hot-swappable, enabling replacement or upgrades without powering down connected equipment. It supports Digital Diagnostics Monitoring Interface (DDMI) for real-time status monitoring and has modest power consumption of approximately 0.8 W, making it suitable for space- and power-constrained installations.
Insert the SFP transceiver into an SFP slot on a compatible switch, router or media converter with the LC connector facing the fiber cable. Ensure the host device supports SFP MSA modules and Gigabit Ethernet operation. Connect the 9/125 μm single-mode duplex fiber using LC connectors, observing correct transmit/receive pairing. Because the module is hot-swappable, it can be inserted or removed while the host device remains powered, but follow your equipment vendor’s ESD precautions and safe handling procedures.
For reliable operation, use single-mode 9/125 μm fiber with LC duplex connectors, maintain proper cable bend radius, and verify link parameters via the host device’s diagnostics (DDMI) after installation. Confirm compatibility with the network equipment vendor if the host enforces vendor-specific firmware checks.
