The Noark RCBO is a high-quality residual current circuit breaker with integrated overcurrent protection, specifically engineered for 1-phase electrical systems. This compact 2-pole device occupies only 2 modules in a distribution board, making it an efficient choice for modern electrical installations. By combining the functions of a miniature circuit breaker and a residual current device, it provides comprehensive protection against short circuits, overloads, and dangerous leakage currents in a single unit.
This device offers superior safety by detecting both AC and pulsating DC residual currents, thanks to its Type A classification. The B16 characteristic ensures reliable operation for standard household and commercial circuits, preventing nuisance tripping while maintaining high sensitivity to faults. Its space-saving 2-module design allows for easier installation in crowded consumer units, while the robust construction ensures long-term durability and consistent performance in various environmental conditions.
This device is not intended for use in 3-phase electrical systems or industrial applications requiring higher current ratings beyond 16A. It is also not suitable for circuits where high-frequency leakage currents or specific DC components exceed the capabilities of Type A protection.
The Noark RCBO should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical regulations. It is mounted onto a standard DIN rail within a distribution board. The input terminals are connected to the supply side, while the output terminals are connected to the load circuit. Ensure that all connections are tightened to the specified torque to prevent overheating. Once installed, the device can be tested using the integrated test button to verify its functionality.
Regularly test the RCBO using the built-in test button at least every six months to ensure the mechanical tripping mechanism remains functional and provides reliable protection for your electrical installation.
