RJ45 Connector NORDMARK CAT5E UTP for LAN Cable, 8P8C modular plug
NORDMARK RJ45 CAT5E UTP connector is an 8P8C modular plug designed for terminating unshielded twisted-pair LAN cables used in CAT5E Ethernet installations. The connector provides reliable electrical contact between copper conductors and networking equipment, enabling stable data transmission for patch cords, in-wall terminations, and custom cable assemblies in home or small office networks.
The plug supports CAT5E performance and is compatible with standard UTP cable sizes, offering a compact form factor that fits common RJ45 jacks and keystone modules. Its gold-plated contact surfaces reduce oxidation and maintain consistent signal integrity over repeated insertions. The modular design simplifies one-ended or through-style terminations, reducing assembly time and the need for specialized tools.
Strip the cable jacket to expose the four twisted pairs, untwist pairs only as much as needed and arrange conductors according to the required wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Insert the conductors fully into the connector channels so the jacket seats into the plug body, then use a suitable crimp tool to secure the contacts and provide strain relief. Verify continuity and correct pair wiring with a cable tester before final installation.
For reliable results, use the connector with CAT5E-rated UTP cable and a compatible crimp tool. Avoid excessive untwisting of pairs to maintain near-end crosstalk (NEXT) performance. Test each terminated cable with a cable tester to confirm wiring and signal integrity before commissioning the network.
