Optical patch cable SIMPLEX LC/UPC to SC/UPC 9/125 µm SM OS2, 2 m
Optical patch cable SIMPLEX LC/UPC to SC/UPC 9/125 µm SM OS2, 2 m
Single-fiber optical patch cable SIMPLEX LC/UPC to SC/UPC 9/125 µm SM OS2, 2 m is designed for single-mode network links where low loss and reliable connections are required. The cable features an LC/UPC connector on one end and an SC/UPC connector on the other, built on 9/125 µm OS2 single-mode fiber. With a 2 m length and simplex construction, it is intended for point-to-point connections in telecom racks, server rooms and indoor fiber installations.
This simplex patch cable offers low attenuation and consistent insertion loss typical for OS2 single-mode fiber. The LC/UPC and SC/UPC termini provide stable plug-and-play mating with equipment and adaptors, while the 9/125 µm core/cladding geometry ensures compatibility with standard single-mode systems. The compact LC connector reduces port space usage on patch panels, and the SC connector gives easy handling and reliable latching.
Connect the LC/UPC end to the LC port of the transceiver or patch panel and the SC/UPC end to the corresponding SC port, ensuring connectors are clean before insertion. Avoid bending the fiber beyond its minimum bend radius and secure the cable to prevent strain on connector joints. For testing, use appropriate single-mode optical test equipment and follow standard procedures for loss and continuity measurements.
Prior to installation, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces with a proper fiber optic cleaning tool. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain bend radius recommendations for single-mode fiber. For long-term reliability, store and handle the cable using protective dust caps when not connected.
