Optical patch cable OEM LC/APC - LC/UPC 9/125 µm singlemode duplex 2 m
Optical patch cable OEM LC/APC - LC/UPC 9/125 µm singlemode duplex 2 m
Optical patch cable OEM LC/APC - LC/UPC 9/125 µm singlemode duplex 2 m is a duplex singlemode fibre jumper designed for precise optical connections in telecom, data centre and local area network environments. The cable features an LC connector with an angled physical contact (APC) on one end and an LC connector with an ultra-physical contact (UPC) on the other, combined with a 9/125 µm core/cladding singlemode fibre. With a 2 m duplex length and compact LC terminations, this patch cable supports bidirectional transmission and is intended for linking patch panels, optical transceivers and other fibre equipment where low return loss and stable signal integrity are required.
The cable provides low insertion loss and reduced back reflection due to the APC endface on one connector and the high-quality UPC finish on the opposing connector. Its duplex construction allows simultaneous transmit and receive paths in a single assembly, reducing cable clutter and simplifying routing. The LC connectors are compact, making the cable suitable for high-density patch panels and tight rack spaces. The singlemode 9/125 µm fibre ensures long-distance, high-bandwidth signal transmission with predictable optical performance.
Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools if necessary. Align the LC connectors with the corresponding LC ports on patch panels or devices and insert until a positive click is felt to ensure proper seating. Maintain duplex polarity according to the installed equipment’s transmit/receive orientation; reverse the duplex pair if required by device port arrangement. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force on the cable during routing; secure the cable with appropriate management hardware to prevent strain on the connectors.
For optimal performance, keep connector endfaces free of dust and contaminants, use dust caps when connectors are not mated, and follow standard singlemode handling practices such as minimum bend radius and gentle cable routing. Use LC/APC to LC/UPC only where mixed endface types are required by system design; verify return loss requirements of connected equipment to ensure compatibility.
