Optical patch cable LC/APC to LC/UPC 9/125 µm singlemode, 3 m duplex
Optical patch cable LC/APC to LC/UPC 9/125 µm singlemode, 3 m duplex
Duplex singlemode optical patch cable with an LC/APC connector on one end and an LC/UPC connector on the other, designed for 9/125 µm singlemode fiber and a total length of 3 m. The cable provides a standard singlemode link for telecom and data networks, fiber patch panels, optical transceivers and laboratory equipment. It is intended for connections where APC–UPC mating is required while maintaining low insertion loss and consistent optical performance.
The LC/APC to LC/UPC configuration reduces back reflection on the APC side while preserving compatibility with UPC-terminated equipment, offering a practical solution for mixed-connector environments. The 9/125 µm singlemode core ensures long-distance signal propagation with minimal attenuation. Duplex construction supports bidirectional data channels in a single cable assembly, and the 3 m length is suitable for rack-to-rack or shelf-to-equipment patching without excess slack.
Inspect connector endfaces before use and clean them with appropriate fiber cleaning tools to avoid contamination-related loss. Route the duplex cable through cable management paths and connect the LC/APC end to the device or panel requiring an APC interface, and the LC/UPC end to the UPC-terminated port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched; avoid bending the cable below its minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation or damage. When disconnecting, release latches gently and store the cable on a reel or in a loop to prevent kinks.
For optimal performance, clean connectors before each connection, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, and verify link attenuation with an optical power meter or OTDR when used in critical links. Use this cable where a mixed APC–UPC connection is necessary and where low return loss on the APC side is important.
