FTP Cat5e Patch Cord 0.5m Black Shielded Network Cable RJ45

The FTP Cat5e Patch Cord 0.5m Black Shielded Network Cable RJ45 is a dependable networking solution designed for efficient and stable data transmission within local area networks. Measuring 0.5 meters in length and finished in a neutral black color, this shielded network cable helps minimize electromagnetic interference, ensuring a clean signal between your networking devices such as routers, switches, patch panels, and desktop computers.

Advantages

This FTP Cat5e patch cord offers reliable performance in environments where electrical interference might otherwise degrade network quality. The integrated shielding protects transmitted data from external noise sources, supporting stable Ethernet connections. Its compact 0.5-meter length is ideal for tidy cable management in dense rack setups, server rooms, or behind office desks, reducing unnecessary slack and improving airflow.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer to a wall outlet or patch panel
• Linking network switches and routers in a rack
• Short-distance Ethernet connections in home or office networks
• Local area network setups requiring shielded cabling

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not intended for long-distance runs between rooms or buildings due to its 0.5-meter length. It is also unsuitable for outdoor installations without additional weather protection or for applications requiring higher bandwidth standards such as Cat6a or Cat8.

Key specifications

• Cable type: FTP Cat5e patch cord
• Length: 0.5 meters
• Color: Black
• Shielding: Shielded
• Connectors: RJ45
• Application: Local area network Ethernet connections

How to use

To use this network cable, simply insert the RJ45 connector on either end into the Ethernet ports of your compatible networking devices, such as a computer, router, or switch, until you hear a secure click. Ensure the devices are powered off or that you handle the connection carefully to avoid port damage. Route the cable neatly without applying excessive tension or sharp bends to maintain optimal signal integrity.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 0.5-meter length is sufficient for the distance between your connected devices
• Check that your equipment utilizes standard RJ45 Ethernet ports
• Ensure your network requirements align with Cat5e performance standards

For best results, avoid tightly coiling the shielded network cable or placing it directly parallel to high-voltage power lines to maintain optimal signal quality in your local area network.
