FTP Cat5e Patch Cord 5m Black Shielded Network Cable RJ45

The FTP Cat5e Patch Cord 5m Black Shielded Network Cable RJ45 is designed to provide stable and reliable Ethernet network connections in various environments. Measuring 5 meters in length, this black patch cord is suitable for linking computers, network switches, routers, and patch panels. Constructed with a twisted pair design and integrated foil shielding, the cable effectively minimizes electromagnetic interference to ensure consistent data transmission performance.

Advantages

The shielded construction of this FTP Cat5e patch cord helps protect data signals from external electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference, maintaining high signal integrity even in environments with multiple electronic devices. Its 5-meter length offers flexible reach for connecting network hardware across rooms or within server racks without excessive cable slack. The durable outer jacket protects the internal conductors from physical wear and tear during regular installation and repositioning.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers and laptops to local area networks
• Linking network switches, routers, and modems
• Connecting patch panels in home or office setups
• Establishing wired internet connections over medium distances

When it may not be suitable

This cable may not be ideal for high-density enterprise data centers where ultra-thin or ultra-flexible cables are required for tight cable management. It is also not designed for outdoor installations or direct burial without additional protective conduits, as standard patch cords lack weather-resistant outer jackets.

Key specifications

• Cable type: FTP Cat5e shielded network patch cord
• Length: 5 meters
• Color: Black
• Connector type: RJ45 on both ends
• Shielding: Foil shielded twisted pair

How to use

To use the network cable, insert one RJ45 connector into the Ethernet port of your networking device, such as a router, switch, or computer, until the locking tab clicks securely into place. Route the cable carefully along walls, desks, or through cable management channels, avoiding sharp bends, heavy pinching, or excessive tension. Insert the opposite end of the cable into the corresponding port of the target device to establish the network link.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that a 5-meter length is sufficient for your specific routing distance between devices
• Check that your hardware utilizes standard RJ45 Ethernet ports
• Determine if shielded (FTP) cabling is necessary for your environment to prevent interference

Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the cable connectors and outer jacket for signs of physical wear. Avoid placing heavy furniture directly on the cable and prevent sharp angles during routing to ensure long-term network reliability.
