FTP Cat5e Patch Cord 5m Yellow Shielded Network Cable RJ45

The FTP Cat5e Patch Cord 5m Yellow Shielded Network Cable RJ45 is a high-performance network cable designed to ensure stable and efficient data transmission in local area networks. With a length of 5 meters and a bright yellow outer jacket, this shielded patch cord connects computers, routers, switches, and other Ethernet-enabled hardware equipped with standard RJ45 interfaces. It provides reliable connectivity for home and office environments where dependable network performance is required.

Advantages

This shielded network cable offers enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference thanks to its FTP shielding. The 5-meter length provides sufficient reach for connecting devices across rooms or within server racks without excessive slack. Constructed with quality materials, it ensures consistent signal integrity and minimal data loss during high-speed data transfer. The durable outer jacket protects the internal wiring from daily wear and tear, contributing to a longer operational lifespan.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers and laptops to local network routers and switches
• Linking network printers and IP cameras to an Ethernet switch
• Extending network connections in home offices and small business environments
• Setting up temporary or permanent network links between Ethernet-enabled hardware

When it may not be suitable

This cable may not be suitable for high-density enterprise data centers requiring ultra-high bandwidth categories such as Cat6a or Cat8 for heavy-duty server virtualization. Additionally, the 5-meter length might be too long for direct desktop-to-adjacent-wall-socket connections, or too short for long-distance runs between separate rooms or floors.

Key specifications

• Cable type: FTP Cat5e shielded network patch cord
• Length: 5 meters
• Color: Yellow
• Connector type: RJ45 on both ends
• Application: Local area network data transmission

How to use

To use the patch cord, take one RJ45 connector and insert it firmly into the Ethernet port of your networking device, such as a router or switch, until you hear a click. Take the opposite RJ45 connector and plug it into the Ethernet port of your computer or another network-enabled device. Ensure both connectors are securely latched to prevent accidental disconnection and to maintain a stable network link.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 5-meter length is appropriate for the distance between your devices
• Check that your hardware utilizes standard RJ45 Ethernet interfaces
• Confirm that Cat5e performance levels meet your current network speed requirements

Usage recommendations: Route the network cable carefully away from sharp edges, heavy furniture, and power lines to prevent physical damage and signal degradation. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling during installation to preserve the integrity of the internal twisted pairs and shielding.
