Fiber optic pigtail SC/PC 50/125 µm OM3, 2 m, OEM
Fiber optic pigtail SC/PC 50/125 µm OM3, 2 m, OEM
Single pigtail fiber optic cable with SC/PC connector, 50/125 µm multimode OM3 core and 2 m length. Designed for splicing or direct termination in fiber networks, patch panels and equipment cabinets, this fiber optic pigtail provides standardized multimode performance for short- to medium-distance links and simplifies installation and repairs in data centers and telecom racks.
The pigtail features a factory-terminated SC/PC connector on a 2 m jacketed fiber, ensuring consistent insertion loss and return loss characteristics typical of OM3 multimode fiber. A 50/125 µm core and optimized modal bandwidth support high-speed data transmission over short to medium reaches. The product's pre-terminated form reduces field termination time and the risk of connector contamination compared with on-site connectorizing.
Strip the pigtail jacket and prepare the primary coating according to standard fiber splicing procedures, leaving the factory-terminated SC/PC connector accessible. Align and fusion-splice the loose fiber to the trunk fiber using a fusion splicer or, where applicable, secure the pigtail in a splice tray and use mechanical splices. After splicing, route and secure the connectorized end to the patch panel or equipment port, ensuring correct polarity and minimal bending radius. Clean the connector endface before insertion to maintain expected optical performance.
Handle the OM3 50/125 µm fiber with standard multimode care: avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius, keep connector endfaces clean and store spare pigtails in a protective enclosure. Use compatible multimode transceivers and patch panels to achieve intended performance for short- to medium-range links.
