Pigtail fiber optic cable OEM 2128 LC 50/125 µm OM3 2 m 0.9 mm
Pigtail fiber optic cable OEM 2128 LC 50/125 µm OM3 2 m 0.9 mm is a multimode fiber pigtail terminated with an LC connector and protected by a 0.9 mm buffered jacket. With a 50/125 µm OM3 core profile it supports high-speed multimode transmission for short to medium distances and is intended for patching, splicing and direct connections to equipment in data centers, telecom racks and LAN infrastructure. The 2 m length offers flexibility for routing inside cabinets and enclosures while the LC termination ensures compatibility with standard LC ports.
The pigtail provides low insertion loss and stable multimode performance thanks to the OM3 fiber specification and precision LC termination. The 0.9 mm buffered jacket protects the fiber during handling and splicing operations while keeping the cable flexible for tight routing. Standard LC connector geometry ensures easy mating with common transceivers and patch panels, and the compact form factor reduces space requirements in high-density installations.
Strip the outer jacket and prepare the fiber according to standard splicing or termination procedures. Use a fusion splicer or mechanical splice for permanent joints, aligning the OM3 multimode cores to achieve low loss. When connecting to equipment, plug the LC connector into the corresponding LC receptacle, ensuring the latch clicks into place. Route the pigtail inside cabinets or trays, maintaining minimum bend radii recommended for multimode fiber and securing the 0.9 mm buffered cable to avoid strain on the splice or connector.
Store and handle the pigtail in a clean environment, keep connector endfaces covered with dust caps until installation, and follow industry-standard cleaning and inspection procedures to maintain low insertion loss and high link performance.
