Simplex fiber optic cable SC/APC to SC/UPC 1 m, singlemode 9/125, LSZH
Simplex fiber optic cable SC/APC to SC/UPC 1 m, singlemode 9/125, LSZH
Simplex fiber optic cable SC/APC to SC/UPC, 1 m long, singlemode 9/125 µm, LSZH jacket, armored. This patchcord is intended for optical connections where a simplex single-fiber link is required and where an angled-polish (APC) connector must mate with a flat-polish (UPC) connector. The cable uses OS2 (G.657B3) singlemode fiber and a 3 mm diameter armored LSZH outer sheath to provide mechanical protection and low-smoke, halogen-free performance.
The cable provides a reliable optical connection with low insertion loss between SC/APC and SC/UPC terminations. Armoring increases resistance to mechanical damage and makes the patchcord suitable for installations where extra durability is needed. The LSZH jacket reduces hazardous smoke and halogen emissions in confined spaces.
Connect the SC/APC end to the device or adapter requiring an angled-polish interface and the SC/UPC end to the flat-polish port or adapter. Ensure connectors and adapters are clean before mating to maintain low insertion loss and prevent contamination. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid crushing or excessive tension to preserve fiber integrity and armored jacket performance.
For best performance, inspect and clean connector endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before connection. Use suitable strain relief and avoid tight bending radii; store and operate within the specified temperature range. Armored patchcords can provide protection against pet chewing in household FTTH installations, but proper routing and securing are still advised.
