How to use

Route the simplex SC/APC patchcord between the devices or between a device and a patch panel ensuring both connectors are clean and undamaged before mating. Gently insert each SC/APC connector into the corresponding APC female port until it seats; avoid excessive bending of the 3 mm cable and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the installation environment. For armored cables, use appropriate strain relief and secure mounting points to prevent concentrated loads that could deform the armor or the connector endfaces.

Usage recommendations

Clean connector end-faces with suitable fibre cleaning tools before each connection to maintain low insertion loss and return loss. Avoid repeated mating cycles beyond the connector's rated life and protect the cable from sharp bends, crushing and exposure to chemical agents. Armored simplex cables with G.657B3 fibre are suitable for indoor installations including residential use where pets may bite the cable, but damaged sections should be replaced rather than repaired in the field.
