LevelOne 2.5Gbps Multi-mode SFP Transceiver, 850nm, 300m
The LevelOne 2.5Gbps Multi-mode SFP Transceiver is a high-performance fiber optic module designed for reliable data transmission in professional network environments. It supports a maximum data transfer rate of 2500 Mbit/s and operates at an 850nm wavelength, providing a stable connection over multi-mode fiber cables at distances of up to 300 meters. This module features a standard SFP form factor and a duplex LC interface, ensuring broad compatibility with existing networking hardware.
This transceiver offers a cost-effective solution for upgrading network infrastructure to 2.5Gbps speeds. Its hot-swappable design allows for easy installation or replacement without powering down the network equipment, minimizing downtime. The inclusion of Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) provides real-time status updates, allowing administrators to monitor performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues efficiently. Furthermore, the module adheres to international safety and quality standards, ensuring reliable operation.
This transceiver is designed specifically for multi-mode fiber applications and will not function with single-mode fiber infrastructure. It is also not suitable for long-distance networking requirements exceeding 300 meters, as it is optimized for short-range data transmission.
To install the transceiver, ensure your network device is powered on if it supports hot-swapping, or power it off if required by the device manual. Insert the SFP module into the designated SFP slot on your switch or router until it clicks into place. Connect the duplex LC fiber optic cable to the transceiver port. The device should automatically detect the module, and you can then use the network management interface to monitor the link status via the DDM feature.
Ensure that the fiber optic connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion to maintain optimal signal quality and prevent damage to the optical components.
