LevelOne 2.5Gbps Single-mode SFP Transceiver, 20km, 1310nm
LevelOne 2.5Gbps Single-mode SFP Transceiver, 20km, 1310nm
The LevelOne 2.5Gbps Single-mode SFP Transceiver is a high-performance fiber optic module designed for reliable data transmission over distances up to 20km. Operating at a 1310nm wavelength with a 2500 Mbit/s data rate, this SFP module features a standard LC interface and is built for professional networking environments requiring stable, long-range connectivity.
This transceiver offers exceptional reliability for high-speed network infrastructures by supporting data rates of up to 2.5Gbps over single-mode fiber. Its hot-swappable design allows for easy installation or replacement without interrupting network operations, while the integrated Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) provides real-time status updates to ensure optimal performance. The module is fully compliant with SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement standards, ensuring broad compatibility with various networking hardware.
This module is not suitable for multi-mode fiber optic cabling, as it is specifically engineered for single-mode fiber applications. Additionally, it is designed for commercial operating temperatures between 0°C and 70°C and may not perform reliably in extreme industrial environments outside of this range.
To install the transceiver, ensure your networking device is powered on or off according to the manufacturer's guidelines, as the module supports hot-swapping. Insert the SFP module into the designated SFP slot on your switch or router until it clicks into place. Connect your single-mode fiber optic cable with a duplex LC connector into the module's port. Once connected, the device should automatically detect the module, and you can monitor the link status through your network management software using the DDM feature.
For optimal performance and longevity, ensure the fiber optic connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion, and always handle the transceiver by its edges to avoid electrostatic discharge.
