GS-2412P Managed L2+ Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 10 RJ-45 Ports and PoE, Black
The GS-2412P is a managed L2+ Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for professional networking environments. It features 10 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports and provides reliable connectivity for various end devices. With its integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality, the switch delivers power directly to connected equipment, simplifying infrastructure by reducing the need for additional power cables. The device is housed in a compact, rack-mountable chassis, making it suitable for integration into standard server cabinets.
This switch offers advanced network management capabilities, including support for web-based GUI, CLI, and cloud-based configuration options. Its fanless design ensures silent operation, which is ideal for office environments where noise reduction is a priority. The inclusion of PoE+ technology allows for the efficient powering of network devices such as IP cameras or access points. Furthermore, the L2+ management features, including Quality of Service and Access Control Lists, provide administrators with granular control over network traffic and security.
This device is not designed for high-density enterprise data centers that require 10G uplink speeds or higher port counts. It may also be insufficient for environments that demand extreme power budgets exceeding the 130-watt capacity provided by the integrated PoE system.
To set up the GS-2412P, mount the device in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a stable surface. Connect your network devices to the RJ-45 ports using appropriate Ethernet cables. Connect the power supply to the AC-in jack to initialize the unit. Once powered, you can access the management interface via a web browser or CLI to configure VLANs, QoS settings, and PoE parameters according to your network requirements.
For optimal performance and security, it is recommended to keep the firmware updated via the management interface and utilize the Access Control List features to restrict unauthorized network access.
