Passive PoE Set MaxLink AFA-1 802.3af Compatible 48V PoE Injector and Splitter
MaxLink AFA-1 is a passive PoE set compatible with 802.3af devices, delivering 48V power to network equipment through a combined PoE injector and splitter. The set allows power and data to travel over standard Ethernet cabling, simplifying installation for access points, IP cameras, network switches and other edge devices that accept 48V passive PoE or 802.3af power. The compact injector is placed near a power source and the splitter near the powered device, enabling flexible device placement without requiring nearby mains sockets.
The MaxLink AFA-1 set provides reliable 48V power delivery while maintaining compatibility with 802.3af devices, reducing the need for separate power adapters at each device. By combining an injector and splitter, it preserves network connectivity and minimizes cable clutter. The design supports straightforward installation with existing Ethernet cables and helps extend the reach of devices where direct power connections are impractical.
Connect the injector to a mains power outlet and link it to your network switch or router using an Ethernet cable. Run an Ethernet cable from the injector to the location of the powered device. At the device end, connect the splitter between the Ethernet cable and the device: the splitter separates power and data, providing a 48V DC output to the device and an Ethernet connection for data. Ensure polarity and connector type match the device requirements before powering on.
Use quality shielded or unshielded Cat5e or Cat6 cable for reliable power and data transmission, keep cable runs within recommended lengths for PoE, and verify that the powered device supports 48V input and 802.3af compatibility. Avoid exposing the injector and splitter to direct moisture; install in ventilated, dry locations and follow local electrical safety rules when connecting to mains power.
