Patch panel OEM Passive POE Panel POE-PAN12 12-port
Passive POE Panel OEM POE-PAN12 is a 12-port 19" rack panel that integrates twelve passive PoE injectors to power up to twelve devices over existing UTP cabling. It is intended to be mounted in a standard 19" rack and connected between a switch (data input) and patch panel or cabling that leads to powered devices such as IP cameras, IP phones or wireless access points. The panel uses two spare wire pairs of the Ethernet cable for power delivery and includes polarity indicator LEDs, overcurrent protection on each port and a single DC input jack for the external power supply (not included).
The panel provides centralized passive PoE distribution for multiple devices while preserving separate data and power ports for simple cabling between a switch and powered devices. Built-in LED polarity indication (green/red) helps verify correct polarity on power pairs. Each port has a resettable fuse (OCP protection) to limit current surges. The unit is designed for 19" rack installation and includes a chassis grounding point for secure mounting and grounding.
Install the POE-PAN12 into a 19" rack and connect the chassis grounding point to rack ground. Connect the network switch or other data source to the Data in RJ45 connectors. Connect the paired RJ45 Data+Power outputs to the cabling that leads to the powered devices. Attach an external DC power supply to the 2.1 mm input jack, observing the required voltage range and calculating the supply capacity based on the total power draw of connected devices. The panel injects power onto wire pairs 4/5 (positive) and 7/8 (negative). Use the LED polarity indicators to confirm correct polarity on the power pairs before connecting sensitive equipment.
Choose a DC power supply with appropriate voltage and sufficient current capacity for the total load of all connected devices. Verify device compatibility with passive PoE and the panel's power-pair assignment (4/5 = +, 7/8 = -). Keep cumulative power draw within the panel and supply limits and rely on the per-port resettable fuses for short-circuit or overcurrent events. Regularly check connections and LED polarity indicators during installation and maintenance.
