Glass Fiber Reinforcement Mesh OLAPLEX Novatex primed 35 g/m² — 50 m² roll
OLAPLEX Novatex primed glass fiber reinforcement mesh with a surface mass of 35 g/m² is supplied as a 50 m² roll designed for reinforcing plaster, cement and repair mortars. The primed mesh improves adhesion with common rendering systems and repair compounds, increases tensile strength and helps distribute loads to reduce the risk of crack formation. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use where increased dimensional stability and reinforcement of wall surfaces are required.
The primed glass fiber construction provides good compatibility with cementitious and polymer-modified mortars while maintaining flexibility for application on flat and curved surfaces. The lightweight 35 g/m² mass ensures minimal added thickness and does not significantly affect the workability of mortars. Supplied as a continuous 50 m² roll, the mesh allows for fast coverage of large areas and reduces the number of joints, while the priming improves initial adhesion and alkali resistance for longer service life.
Prepare the substrate by ensuring it is clean, sound and free of dust, loose particles, oil and frost. Apply a suitable base coat of plaster or mortar according to the mortar manufacturer's instructions and embed the glass fiber mesh while the base coat is still wet, positioning it smoothly without folds. Overlap adjacent mesh edges as recommended by the mortar manufacturer to ensure continuity and press the mesh into the mortar so it is fully embedded. After the base coat has developed sufficient strength, apply the finishing layer or final render in accordance with standard application practices.
Store the roll flat in a dry, ventilated area and protect from direct sunlight and moisture prior to use. Cut the mesh with sharp scissors or a utility knife to match the area to be reinforced. Follow the mortar manufacturer's guidance on overlap widths, embedment depth and curing times to achieve the intended crack resistance and bond performance.
