Fabric glass low structure 160 g/m² OLAPLEX 1 x 50 m — fiberglass cloth roll for reinforcement
OLAPLEX fabric glass low structure 160 g/m² is a fiberglass cloth supplied as a single 50 m roll designed for reinforcement, lamination and composite repairs. The low-structure weave offers a flat, uniform surface that facilitates good resin impregnation and even curing. With a mass of 160 g/m² the fabric balances strength and flexibility, providing dimensional stability while remaining workable for curved and flat applications in construction, marine, automotive and repair tasks.
The low-structure weave minimises surface texture for easier finishing and reduced sanding. The 160 g/m² weight provides consistent mechanical reinforcement without excessive stiffness, making the cloth suitable for multi-layer laminates or single-layer repairs. Supplied as a continuous 50 m roll, the product reduces joins and waste for large-scale projects and allows custom cutting to required sizes. The material is compatible with common resin systems, enabling reliable adhesion and predictable composite properties.
Cut the required fabric length with sharp scissors and lay it over a clean, dry surface. Pre-fit layers to avoid wrinkles and ensure correct orientation of the weave. Apply the chosen resin system evenly to the substrate, then place the fiberglass cloth and wet out thoroughly so fibres are fully impregnated. Use rollers or brushes to remove air and ensure full contact between fabric and substrate. Allow the laminate to cure according to the resin manufacturer's instructions before trimming, sanding or applying subsequent layers.
Store the roll in a dry, dust-free environment and keep it protected from direct sunlight and moisture. When cutting and handling, use appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, long sleeves and eye protection to avoid irritation from glass fibres. For best results with structural applications, follow the resin system guidelines for layer schedule, curing temperature and post-cure if required.
