Angled Rebuildable Plug Opal WT-16 2P+Z 16A black
Opal WT-16 2P+Z is an angled, rebuildable mains plug designed for grounded appliances and equipment requiring up to 16 A. The compact black housing enables right-angle cable routing close to walls or behind furniture, while the disassemblable design allows on-site assembly, inspection and maintenance. The plug accommodates a protective earth (ground) contact and two live conductors in a format compatible with standard grounded sockets.
The angled form factor reduces required clearance behind connected devices and helps prevent cable kinking at the entry point. A rebuildable construction provides easy access to internal terminals for installation, conductor replacement or troubleshooting without replacing the entire unit. The black finish offers a discreet appearance, suitable for visible installations in home and light commercial environments. Rated for 16 A, the plug supports common household loads and many small appliances while maintaining required grounding.
Disassemble the housing to expose the terminal block, insert stripped conductors into the corresponding terminals for live, neutral and earth, then secure each conductor with the provided terminal screws. Reassemble the housing, ensuring the cable clamp or strain relief is correctly positioned to prevent conductor movement. Plug into a compatible grounded socket and verify secure mechanical fit and electrical continuity prior to regular use.
Use an appropriately sized cable with conductors rated for 16 A and ensure correct polarity and secure earth connection. Tighten terminal screws to the manufacturer’s recommended torque if available, avoid over-bending the cable at the exit point, and perform routine visual checks for loose connections, damage to the housing or cable insulation. For installations subject to moisture or outdoor exposure, select products with appropriate ingress protection rather than indoor rebuildable plugs.
