It provides low-loss singlemode transmission and compatible mating with SC and FC ports while keeping paired fibers organized for patch panels and active devices.
The duplex SC-FC singlemode design reduces insertion loss and supports stable point-to-point connections between equipment with different connector types. Durable connector housings and precise ferrule alignment ensure repeatable performance and simplified installation without the need for adapters in mixed SC/FC environments.
Route the duplex cable through cable management paths to avoid sharp bends and strain. Align the SC connector with the corresponding SC port and insert until it locks. Align the FC connector with the FC port, engage the connector and tighten the screw coupling to secure the connection. Verify transmission with appropriate optical test equipment or by confirming link status on connected network devices. When removing, unlock the SC connector and unscrew the FC connector before withdrawing to prevent stress on the fiber.
