Optical Patch Cable SC/APC - SC/APC Duplex Singlemode 2 m
Optical Patch Cable SC/APC - SC/APC Duplex Singlemode 2 m
Duplex singlemode optical patch cable with SC/APC connectors on both ends and a 2 m length. Designed for low-loss singlemode fiber connections in telecom and data networks, it provides stable signal transmission and easy plug-and-play installation. The SC/APC - SC/APC duplex configuration uses angled physical contact connectors to reduce back reflection, making the cable suitable for links where return-loss performance is important.
The duplex SC/APC singlemode cable delivers low insertion loss and improved return loss due to angled-polished connectors. A duplex design provides two fibers in one jacket for simultaneous transmit and receive channels, simplifying cabling in point-to-point links. At 2 m length the cable is convenient for rack- and panel-mounted equipment, patch panels and short interconnects while maintaining consistent optical performance across both channels.
Identify the transmit and receive ports on your devices and align the duplex cable so that each SC/APC connector mates with the corresponding port. Insert the SC/APC connectors gently until they click into place; avoid excessive bending of the fiber near the connector. For rack installations, route the cable through cable management clips or guides to prevent sharp bends and secure the jacket to avoid strain on the connectors. When disconnecting, pull on the connector body rather than the fiber jacket to prevent damage.
Store and handle the cable in a clean environment; keep protective dust caps on connectors when not in use. Maintain bend radius recommended for singlemode fiber (typically 10× cable diameter or as specified by the manufacturer) and avoid crushing or kinking the cable. Verify connector cleanliness with appropriate inspection tools before installation to ensure low-loss, high-reliability connections.
